What clients say.

★★★★★

Our hardwood had gone completely dull and filmy from years of the wrong cleaners. The deep clean and neutralize stripped all of that away, and the recoat brought back a beautiful, even sheen. The floors look ten years younger.

— Gregory M.
★★★★★

They matched the method to our engineered wood perfectly — no damage, no cloudiness, just clean floors that finally look cared for. The professional explained every step and the polyurethane finish is gorgeous.

— Alexandra P.
★★★★★

After a remodel our floors were grimy and scratched. They cleaned, neutralized, and did a light buff instead of pushing an expensive recoat we didn’t need. Honest, skilled, and the shine came right back.

— Daniel K.

Common Questions

Wood Floor Cleaning FAQ

How much does wood floor cleaning cost?

Wood floor cleaning is quote-based: price depends on the square footage, the finish, the floor’s condition, and whether you add a deep clean, neutralize, or recoat. You receive a fixed quote — price and estimated time — before anything is scheduled. See our wood floor cleaning cost guide for typical ranges.

What’s the difference between cleaning, deep cleaning, and recoating?

A maintenance clean uses a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft pad or brush for routine upkeep. A deep clean adds a wood-floor degreaser plus a neutralizing rinse — a two-step process that removes built-up grime. A recoat then adds a fresh protective layer (acrylic or polyurethane) over the cleaned floor. You can stop at any stage.

Acrylic or polyurethane recoat — which should I choose?

Acrylic is more economical and cures faster, making it a great refresh. Polyurethane costs more but gives a more durable, higher-quality finish that lasts longer. The professional will recommend the right option for your floor and how it’s used. Our guide on fine hardwood & finish care covers the trade-offs.

Do you sand and refinish floors?

No. This service cleans, deep-cleans, neutralizes, and recoats the finish you already have — it is not a full sand-and-refinish. If your floors need sanding down to bare wood, that’s a separate trade outside this service, and the professional will tell you if that’s the case.

Is it safe for my floor’s finish?

Yes. The wrong cleaners — vinegar, water, or all-purpose products — can dull or permanently damage wood. Our referred professionals identify the finish first and use pH-neutral, finish-appropriate products and methods accordingly.

Can you make dull, filmy floors shine again?

Usually, yes. Dulling is often built-up cleaner residue and film, which a deep clean and neutralize removes. From there, a light buff or a recoat restores the sheen — the professional will advise which your floors actually need rather than over-selling a recoat.
