Debris, Downspouts & Guards · Residential

Gutter Cleaning Service

Residential gutter cleaning for homes across Beverly Hills, Malibu, Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark & Simi Valley, and Camarillo & Oxnard.

What it is

Gutter cleaning clears the debris that blocks your gutters and downspouts so rainwater drains away from the roof, fascia, and foundation instead of pooling and overflowing. Maid VIP connects homeowners with vetted, background-checked professionals who clear, flush, and — if you want — guard your gutters.

The Scope

What a Gutter Cleaning Includes

Clearing the channel is only half the job — if the downspouts are blocked, the water still has nowhere to go. A proper visit handles both, and confirms the system actually drains.

Debris & Downspouts

  • Hand-clear leaves, needles & grit
  • Flush downspouts end to end
  • Confirm water flows & drains
  • Bag and remove the debris

Gutter Guards

  • Clean debris off existing guards
  • Adjust & reseat loose sections
  • Install new guards on request
  • Cut how often gutters need clearing

Exterior Face Cleaning

  • Wash the visible gutter face
  • Remove streaks & “tiger stripes”
  • Brighten the roofline’s look
  • Optional add-on to any clean

The Difference

Professional Gutter Service vs. DIY Ladder Work

Renting a ladder and scooping what you can reach is one thing; clearing the full run, flushing the downspouts, and confirming the system drains — safely, off your own ladder — is another.

Why It Matters

Clogged Gutters Cost More Than They Look

When gutters fill, water spills over the edge and runs straight down the fascia and siding — then pools at the foundation. Over a season or two that shows up as rotted fascia, stained siding, and water finding its way toward the foundation. Clearing them is cheap insurance against repairs that aren’t. The two times it matters most: after leaf season, when the channels fill fastest, and after a wind or rain storm, when a single storm can pack a gutter solid. Our guides cover how often to clean gutters here, what clogged gutters do to your home, the signs it’s overdue, and whether gutter guards are worth it.

Who It’s For

Residential-Focused — Commercial by Inquiry

Our gutter work has been residential to date, and homes are where this service is built to shine — single-story ranches through multi-story homes with more complex rooflines. If you manage a commercial property, we’re open to it by inquiry: send us the details and we’ll see whether we can match you with the right professional for the job.

When to Book One

The Right Time for a Gutter Cleaning

After Leaf Season

Fall fills the channels fastest — clear them before the winter rain.

After a Wind or Rain Storm

A single storm can pack a gutter solid with leaves and grit.

Before the Rainy Season

Make sure the water has somewhere to go before the first downpour.

Overflow or Fascia Stains

Water spilling over the edge is the warning sign to act on.

Questions

Gutter Cleaning FAQ

How much does gutter cleaning cost?

Gutter cleaning is quote-based: price depends on your home's size and roofline, the linear footage of gutters, and whether you add gutter guards or exterior-face cleaning. You receive a fixed quote — price and estimated time — before anything is scheduled.

What does a gutter cleaning include?

A standard visit clears all debris from the gutters by hand, flushes the downspouts, and confirms water flows freely. Cleaning the exterior gutter face and installing or servicing gutter guards are available add-ons.

Do you install or clean gutter guards?

Both. The referred professionals clean and adjust existing guards, clear debris that collects on top of them, and can install new guards if you'd like to cut down on how often the gutters need clearing.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Once or twice a year for most homes — typically after leaf season. Homes under heavy tree cover, or anyone coming out of a wind or rain storm, often benefit from a more frequent or one-off clearing.

Do you offer commercial gutter cleaning?

Our gutter work has been residential to date, and that's our focus. We're open to commercial properties by inquiry — reach out with the details and we'll see whether we can match you with the right professional.

Do you repair or replace gutters?

No. The referred professionals clean gutters and install guards; they don't perform structural gutter repair or replacement. If a section is damaged or pulling away, that's a separate trade outside this service.
