Upholstery & Rug Care · Fabric-Matched Cleaning
Sofas, sectionals, chairs, outdoor cushions, and area rugs cleaned in place for homes across Beverly Hills, Malibu, Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark & Simi Valley, Camarillo, Oxnard & Ventura, and West Los Angeles.
Upholstery cleaning is fabric-specific work. Synthetic and blended fabrics take hot-water extraction; wool, linen, silk, and velvet take low-moisture methods; cream and white pieces, outdoor cushions, and anything with mildew or pet odor need a different scope entirely. Maid VIP connects households with vetted, background-checked professionals who match the method to the fabric, clean on site, and tell you which of two published price tiers you are in before anyone books.
The professional inspects the fabric, tests an inconspicuous spot, and only then chooses the method. Everything is cleaned where it sits — no pickup unless a rug or a restoration job calls for it.

Odor, dander, and accidents on the pieces the family actually uses.
Wool and hand-knotted rugs that deserve a professional, not a rental.
Maid VIP is a referral agency. We don’t dispatch unknown gig workers — we personally vet independent professionals and stand behind every referral. Upholstery is the one job where the wrong method ruins the piece, so it’s matched to professionals who test first, clean by fabric, and are backed by a satisfaction re-clean. For high-profile homes, estate-grade discretion and NDAs are available on request. Read how we screen in our cleaner vetting & discretion guide.

Standard-clean prices are published per piece: armchairs from $75, loveseats from $110, sofas from $150, sectionals from $40 per seat, outdoor cushions from $15 small and $28 large, area rugs from $3 per square foot, with a $150 visit minimum. Restoration work — natural fibers, mildew, pet urine, cream fabric that has lived outside — is quoted from photos and typically runs 2–3× standard. Full ranges and the two-tier logic are in the upholstery cleaning cost guide.
You will be told before booking. Send photos with your inquiry; the professional confirms standard or restoration from those, and confirms again at the door before starting. The price on the phone matches the page unless the piece turns out to be a restoration job on inspection — and then you get the number before any work begins.
It depends on the fabric tag and a spot test. Synthetic and most blended fabrics get hot-water extraction, the same method used on carpet. Wool, linen, silk, velvet, and anything marked S or S/W on the care label get low-moisture or solvent-based cleaning. The professional decides at the piece, not over the phone.
Yes. Sunbrella and solution-dyed acrylic cushions clean well in place and are priced per cushion by size. Coastal homes see more salt film, sunscreen, and mildew than inland ones, so cushions that have sat out a full season are often restoration-tier; photos settle that before the visit.
Most wool and synthetic rugs are cleaned on site. Silk, antique, and hand-knotted rugs are quoted as restoration and may need off-site care, which the professional will say up front. Wall-to-wall carpet is a separate service — see carpet cleaning.
Two to six hours depending on fabric and method; low-moisture cleans dry fastest. The professional sets cushions and pile so they dry evenly, and you can use the room the same day.
