Is Maid VIP a cleaning company or a referral agency?
Maid VIP is a referral agency under California Civil Code. We source, interview, background-check, and insure independent cleaning professionals, then match the right one to your home or business. We do not employ the cleaners or set their rates.
How is a referral agency different from a cleaning app or gig platform?
A gig platform lets almost anyone sign up and matches you by algorithm. As a domestic referral agency, we hand-match you with a vetted independent professional suited to your home and preferences — and you build an ongoing relationship with one trusted person instead of meeting a new stranger each visit.
Who actually employs the cleaning professional?
The professionals are independent and are not Maid VIP employees. We vet and refer them and support both sides of the match, but they run their own businesses and set their own rates. This is the domestic referral agency model recognized under California law.
What exactly is a domestic referral agency?

Do I get the same professional each visit?

Are the professionals vetted and background-checked?
Yes. We interview, reference-check, and background-screen the independent professionals we refer, and we can arrange estate-grade discretion or an NDA on request for high-profile properties.
How exactly are professionals vetted?
Before we introduce anyone to a client, we conduct an in-person interview, check references, and run a background screening — and we brief each professional on the standards a home requires. The people we refer are vetted independent professionals we have partnered with over many years, not an anonymous, rotating roster.
Are the professionals insured and bonded?
Yes. We refer insured and bonded independent professionals, and our team supports both sides of every match.
Can my privacy be protected? Do you offer NDAs?
Yes. For privacy-sensitive households — estates and executive residences — discretion and NDAs can be arranged as part of the match.
What does the background check involve?
Screening covers an identity and criminal background check alongside an in-person interview and reference checks. We only refer independent professionals we have vetted and, in most cases, partnered with over time — not an anonymous, rotating roster.
Who is responsible if something is damaged?
The independent professionals we refer carry their own insurance and are bonded. If an issue ever comes up, reach out and we’ll help you coordinate directly with the professional so it’s resolved through their coverage.

How do I get a quote?
Tell us your home's size, finishes, and how often you'd like service, and we'll tailor a referral estimate. You receive a fixed quote — covering both price and estimated time — before anything is scheduled.
Is the quote free, and am I obligated to book?
Yes, quotes are free and there's no obligation. You'll see the price and the estimated time up front, then decide from there.
Why is pricing quote-based instead of a flat rate?
Every home is different — size, condition, finishes, and how often it's cleaned all affect the work involved. A tailored quote means you pay for your home, not an average, and the price is fixed before the visit so there are no surprises.
What’s the difference between a standard clean and a deep clean?
A standard clean maintains an already-tidy home — surfaces, floors, kitchen, and baths. A deep clean does the heavier, detailed work underneath: inside appliances, grout and tile, baseboards, vents, and built-up areas. Starting with a deep clean and keeping up with standard visits after is a common pattern.
Do you offer one-time cleans, or only recurring service?
Both. You can book a one-time or deep clean, or set up recurring service — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — at whatever cadence suits your home. You’re never locked into a schedule.
Are there contracts or hidden fees?
No long-term contracts and no surprise charges. Your referral estimate is itemized up front, and recurring service continues only as long as you want it. Any add-ons — like inside-oven or interior windows — are priced transparently before they're scheduled.
Scheduling & Service
Will I have the same cleaner each visit?
Yes — by request we keep the same vetted professional on your home so they learn your preferences and routine. Continuity matters, especially in a private residence.
Do I need to provide supplies or equipment?
No. The professionals arrive with their own vacuums and supplies. If you'd prefer they use specific products in your home, just let them know.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Plans change — just let us know and we'll do our best to reschedule. For recurring service, a little notice helps us keep your preferred professional on your account.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Many clients arrange access and aren’t home during the visit, while others prefer to be there — either is fine. You’ll coordinate access and any entry details directly with your professional.
Is it okay if I have pets?
Yes. Just let your professional know about pets in the home so they can plan around them, and you can decide what’s most comfortable for everyone during the visit.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
That's entirely up to you. Many clients provide secure entry instructions and go about their day; others prefer to be present. Whatever you choose, every professional we refer is background-checked and vetted for exactly this kind of trust.

Which areas do you serve?
We refer professionals across eight hubs in the Los Angeles and Ventura County area: Thousand Oaks, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Moorpark & Simi Valley, Camarillo & Oxnard, and West Los Angeles — plus the surrounding Conejo Valley, Westside, and West San Fernando Valley communities.
What services can I book?

Should I tip?
Tipping is always appreciated but never required or expected — it’s entirely your call. The professionals stand behind their work regardless.
Do you serve areas outside the eight hubs?
Those eight hubs and their surrounding communities are our core coverage across Los Angeles and Ventura County. If you’re nearby but not sure you’re inside them, reach out — we may still be able to match you with the right professional.
Do you offer eco-friendly or green cleaning?
Yes. Eco-friendly, low-toxicity products can be arranged as part of your match — helpful for homes with children, pets, or sensitivities. Just note it when you request your estimate and we'll pair you with a professional equipped for it.
Do I need to provide cleaning supplies or equipment?
Typically no — the independent professionals we refer bring their own professional-grade supplies and equipment. If you'd prefer they use specific products you keep on hand (for delicate stone or finishes, for example), simply let us know when arranging the match.
