House Cleaning in Oak Park

Oak Park is not part of the City of Thousand Oaks: it is an unincorporated, master-planned community of about 5,300 homes in southeastern Ventura County, with North Ranch to the west, Agoura Hills to the south and open space rising toward Simi Peak to the north. The first 600 homes went up in the mid-1960s, and a 1974 master plan guided the rest into the 1990s. Most homes are single-family tracts of roughly 1,500 to 3,600 sq ft on 3,000- to 7,000-sq-ft lots, alongside seven townhome communities.

These are family homes in a school district families move for — Oak Park Unified — and they are cleaned like it: floors, kitchens and bathrooms carry daily traffic, and pets add dander. Medea Creek and Lindero Creek run through the community, and coast live oak and valley oak woodland lines the open spaces at Rock Ridge, Sunrise Meadows and Wistful Vista, so pollen and leaf litter come in through entries and sliding doors every spring.

In November 2018 the Woolsey Fire forced the evacuation of all of Oak Park and destroyed several homes; houses that back onto open space are the first to need a smoke-and-ash reset when fire weather returns. Water comes from Triunfo Water & Sanitation District, whose 2025 report lists an average hardness of 140 mg/L (about 8 grains per gallon) — enough to spot glass shower doors and faucets between visits.
