How Post-Construction Cleaning Is Priced
Post-construction cleaning is generally priced per square foot or as a project quote, and it runs higher per square foot than a standard clean because the scope is different — fine construction dust in every crevice, debris removal, and detailed finishing. A service minimum applies to smaller remodels.
Typical Ranges
Post-construction work commonly falls around $0.35–$0.55 per square foot for a home, and $0.25–$0.40 for commercial space — an open-plan office simply cleans faster than a residence. Heavy debris, multiple phases, or estate-level finishes push either higher. A modest remodel might be a few hundred dollars; a full new build or whole-home renovation runs well into four figures. The condition and stage of the space matter as much as its size.
Phases & the Price
Larger projects are cleaned in stages — rough, final, and touch-up — and each phase is its own scope and cost. A smaller remodel may only need one thorough final clean; a new build often needs all three. Quoting the phases you actually need keeps the cost right-sized.
